Ökophysiologie der Pflanzen

Research

Within the broad field of plant ecophysiology our group is mainly interested in the effects of environmental stress on the photosynthetic apparatus. Major stress factors considered are high light and UV radiation. High priority is set on work with intact plants in their natural and in controlled environments. Analysis of the photosynthetic apparatus and the acclimation of plants is greatly supported by the use of non-invasive optical techniques such as chlorophyll fluorescence or light absorbance or reflectance.
